06/29/20 Welcome to rotation student Alannah Lejeune!

We are thrilled to have GS1, Alannah Lejeune, in the lab as a rotation student this summer! After attending Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD for undergrad, Alannah spent several years as a technician in NYC at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai studying Th17 cell differentiation in the context of autoimmunity. She is currently working with graduate student Shushan Sargsian to enzymatically characterize novel bacteria strains isolated from helminth infected individuals which may be protective in inflammatory bowel disease.
